Outlaws has a release date, and its three editions can now be pre-ordered via Ubisoft. One of the upcoming Star Wars games entrusted to multiple studios is Star Wars Outlaws, published by Ubisoft. The game is set between the events of Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, with players assuming the role of a new character in the Star Wars universe, Kay Vess. The release date for Outlaws is confirmed to be August 30, 2024, and pre-orders for the game are now available with three editions to choose from.
These include the Standard Edition at $70, the Gold Edition at $109.99, and the Ultimate Edition at $129.99. The Standard Edition comes with a pre-order bonus, the Kessel Runner Bonus Pack. It is available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, with no last-gen or Nintendo Switch version. Outlaws will not be available on Steam or the Epic Games Store and must be bought and downloaded through Ubisoft Connect for PC.
The game follows Kay Vess as she navigates the galaxy’s deadliest criminals in an open-world action-adventure featuring space battles and a deep story. The Gold Edition includes a Season Pass with two post-launch DLCs, an exclusive Jabba’s gambit mission, and additional cosmetic options for Kay and Nix. It also provides three days of early access. The Ultimate Edition offers everything from the Gold Edition as well as additional cosmetic items, an Outlaws digital artbook, and three days of early access.
Outlaws will be an open-world game allowing players to explore the Outer Rim and other parts of the Star Wars universe, and it will not have a multiplayer component at launch. Star Wars Outlaws will not only be available to play from day one with a Ubisoft Plus Premium subscription but will also provide early access to those who pre-ordered the Gold and Ultimate Editions.
