It’s time for another Pokemon Go in-game event, the Bug Out Event, which will feature Bug-Type Pokemon new and existing in the game. The event will only be active for six days, from Friday, April 12, 2024, at 10am local time to Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at 8pm local time. During this event, players will have the opportunity to earn bonuses and encounter various Bug-type Pokemon in the wild. Players who participate in the event will have access to several bonuses, including increased XP, more Candy, and more Candy XL for catching Pokemon using accurate throws.
Additionally, there will be a higher likelihood of encountering Shiny variations of specific Pokemon, including Burmy and Combee. Several Bug-type Pokemon will be featured throughout the event, both in the wild and in Raids. Players can expect to encounter ten event-themed Pokemon in the wild and participate in Raids featuring One-Star, Three-Star, Five-Star, and Mega Raids. Completing in-person Raids with two or more Trainers will result in an increase in Pokemon spawns around the Pokemon Gym for 15 minutes.
Event Field Research Tasks can be obtained at PokeStops and will reward players with different event-themed rewards and encounters, including Mega Energy for Bug-type Pokemon. Additionally, players will have the opportunity to complete Bug Out-themed Collection Challenges, showcasing specific event-themed Pokemon at different PokeStops. Overall, the Bug Out Event will offer players the chance to earn bonuses, encounter various Bug-type Pokemon, complete Collection Challenges, and participate in Pokemon Showcases during the six-day event window.
