Digimon has announced the release of new Pendulum Color devices, which are color screen remakes of the original Pendulum 4, 5, and Zero models from 1998. These devices are now available for pre-order and are expected to ship in the US in November 2024.
The announcement is part of Digimon’s 25th-anniversary celebrations, following the recent reveal of the new Digivice recreation. The Pendulum Color devices not only feature enhanced color screens but also expanded Digimon rosters.
They are available for pre-order through Premium Bandai, maintaining the original designs and dimensions. The devices come with rechargeable batteries that can be charged via USB-C port.
One significant upgrade is the inclusion of color screens, allowing for alternative backgrounds and enhanced communication features. Different models are associated with specific Digimon rosters, offering more than 30 Digimon for each device.
Combining and evolving certain Digimon can unlock new monsters not available in the original release. The pre-order period for the Pendulum Color devices is ongoing on Premium Bandai, with a deadline of May 27, 2024.
The devices are priced at $65 each and are scheduled to ship in the US in November. Alongside the Pendulum Color, a modern version of the Digivice, which functions as a Tamagotchi combined with a pedometer, has also been announced as part of Digimon’s 25th anniversary celebrations.
