Stellar Blade to remove “Unintentional” Racial Slur before Launch

The game features large graffiti saying “Hard” across various locations. This phrase is associated with offensive language and has different connotations in different countries. Developer Shift Up, based in Korea, did not intend for the graffiti to be offensive.

However, in the West, it is seen as a way to avoid using a derogatory term and has caused concerns. PlayStation has announced that the graffiti will be removed through a patch. Shift Up is quick to address the issue and has already replaced the graffiti in review copies of the game.

The replacement was introduced alongside a patch that included New Game Plus. This means that players can now enjoy the game without encountering the offensive graffiti.
