I’ve made good progress in my journey in Shadow of the Erdtree, reaching the snowy mountaintops and the sunken city in service of Lady Ranni. My level is almost 90, but I’m finding it challenging to proceed further. Even after completing contracts and defeating a lord, the snowy mountains are proving difficult. My equipment, once powerful, is now struggling and I feel like I need to relearn the fundamentals.
As much as I want to explore everything before the expansion, the time pressure and lack of players to summon are adding to the difficulty. I’m worried about losing the magic of discovering Erdtree for the first time with everyone else, as well as stumbling upon new challenges and loot after everyone else. I’m currently facing tough encounters where my only solution is to grind through levels or improve my skills to overcome them. I’m painfully aware that I’m not good enough and wonder how I’ll fare in the new region, the Land of Shadow, in the upcoming expansion.
