I’ve decided to take a different gaming approach this year. Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth has just been released, and although the excitement is understandable, I’m not rushing to play it. In 2024, I want to enjoy games at my own pace. The constant stream of new releases can be overwhelming, and trying to keep up with everyone else takes away from the enjoyment.
After a recent two-week vacation, I still have unfinished business in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth and Persona 3 Reload. Additionally, I have work-related games to play. Rather than adding to my already busy gaming schedule, I want to dedicate this weekend to Final Fantasy 14. While I risk encountering spoilers due to my job, I’ve made a conscious decision not to rush through games just to keep up with others.
My priority is to participate in the latest Moogle event and earn its rewards. And although it’s not essential, I also want to relax and indulge in some casual gameplay. Despite my fear of missing out on the Rebirth hype, I’m determined to prioritize my mental well-being and enjoy games at my own pace. I acknowledge that there may be moments of weakness when I succumb to launch hype, but I hope to stand by my decision in the long run.
