The Amazon series for Fallout presents a great opportunity to return to the game, particularly with deep discounts and much hype. After watching the first season of the Amazon series, I find myself craving more Fallout, especially with the tease of the New Vegas Strip in the finale. As I contemplate which game to play from my Steam library, Fallout 3 and New Vegas hold significant memories for me from my college days. Although Fallout 4 didn’t resonate as strongly with me upon its release, I may consider revisiting it, especially in light of the changes it has undergone over the years.
Furthermore, the tabletop skirmish game Fallout: Factions and the original Fallout also offer intriguing possibilities. While contemplating my next step, I’ve ruled out starting with Brotherhood of Steel or Tactics, as they are not in line with my current cravings for Fallout. Instead, focusing on New Vegas before the release of the next season of the Amazon series seems like a promising plan. Likewise, Fallout 3 with the HD Overhaul from Nexus Mods presents an appealing starting point for new players.
Ultimately, I am left to decide between revisiting Fallout 4 or giving Fallout 76 another chance, potentially with friends. If the latter doesn’t pan out, then a fresh approach to Fallout 4, particularly exploring the Pacific Northwest, may be an exciting adventure.
