Baldur’s Gate 3 Receives First-Person Mod

The mod works by placing a camera above your character’s head, but this can cause glitches, particularly when using a controller. Without a controller, you’ll always have a bird’s-eye view of the game, but modders have enabled players to explore the Sword Coast from a new perspective, making the world feel larger and more immersive.

When playing in first-person, some graphical tricks become apparent, such as foliage hovering above the ground. To use the mod, players need to have Native Camera Tweaks and WASD Character Movement.

The former provides the necessary tools for the first-person perspective, while the latter allows movement with the keyboard, as opposed to point-and-click, which can be disorienting in first-person mode. It’s important to note that using a controller alters the camera parameters, requiring adjustments to the settings.

However, a video demonstration reveals that players can easily switch between first and third-person perspectives as needed, offering flexibility in exploring the game world.
