The trailer for Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero showcases cutscene-quality fights. It starts with Piccolo and young Gohan sparring, followed by Videl and an older two-armed Gohan training together.
The trailer also features one-armed Future Gohan and Future Trunks duking it out in the ruins of West City. Gohan battles Androids 17 and 18, the pair who caused him to lose his arm.
During this battle, he chooses to give Trunks the Senzu bean rather than saving it for himself, resulting in him losing his left arm. The trailer also shows the angel Whis and the god of destruction Beerus training together.
As for the release date of Sparking Zero, no concrete date has been announced yet. However, reports suggest that it may launch in late 2024 or sometime in 2025, with each trailer ending in “Wishlist Now.”
The ESRB rating received in March indicates that the game is likely to launch soon. The game pays homage to Budokai Tenkaichi and Raging Blast, and its T for Teen rating suggests a release this year.
Based on the history of past Budokai Tenkaichi games, a release around October or November for the series’ 40th anniversary is a possibility.
