The creative director of Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Tetsuya Nomura, has revealed that the story for Part 3 of the game has already been completed. Aitaikimochi’s translations indicate that voice recording for the title could start in the near future.
Nomura mentioned that Rebirth’s producer, Yoshinori Kitase, has proposed an important idea to include in the game, although the specifics of this idea are currently unknown. Kitase stated his intention to ensure that Part 3 maintains high quality without sacrificing development time.
He emphasized that maintaining the same development team from the previous game, Rebirth, as with Remake, has contributed to a swift release, and this will also be the case for the next entry. The production of Rebirth occurred approximately three years after Remake, excluding the year spent on the Intergrade DLC.
Kitase aims to replicate a similar timeline for the third and final game. Considering these factors, it is speculated that the final entry in the Final Fantasy 7 Remake trilogy could potentially launch in 2027, providing that development progresses smoothly.
Final Fantasy Rebirth is the second part of the FF7 Remake project and follows the story of Cloud Strife, who joins eco-terrorist group Avalanche in their mission to save the planet from the antagonist Sephiroth. As the story progresses beyond Midgar, where their paths will lead, remains to be seen.
