Lego has unveiled three new Sonic the Hedgehog sets that are set to be released on August 1 this year. One of the sets features the introduction of Super Sonic’s Minifigure, pitted against a Lego rendition of Dr. Robotnik’s Drillster. Additionally, a Master Emerald Shrine set and Tails’ Adventure Boat set have been revealed. While Mario may have beaten Sonic to the punch in terms of Lego sets, the beloved hedgehog has been catching up since acquiring a set of his own.
Not only has the original Green Hill Zone set been expanded to include more elements from Sonic’s world, but the core characters have also been transformed into Minifigures. This summer, Lego will be launching three new additions to its Sonic collection, with all three sets scheduled for release on August 1. Knuckles takes the spotlight in the Master Emerald Shrine set, alongside an Amy Minifigure, offering fans an opportunity to extend their love for the character beyond the recent Paramount Plus series. For fans seeking a deeper dive into Sonic lore, the Super Sonic vs.
Egg Drillster set may be of interest. This set includes a Super Sonic Minifigure, alongside Shadow and Dr. Robotnik, providing a nostalgic throwback to the classic Sonic games. The third set, Tails’ Adventure Boat, showcases an intricate build featuring almost 400 pieces, including a parasailing Sonic and a Green Hill-style platform. All three sets will be available for purchase through the Lego store and potentially other retailers from August 1.
In addition to the Sonic sets, Lego has also introduced new Mario sets as well as Star Wars sets throughout 2024, with a fresh lineup available for Lego Insiders to purchase.
