In Baldur’s Gate 3, the next patch will not include the option to romance the character Gortash. While the update, known as Patch 7, will introduce new evil endings, players will not have the opportunity to settle down with Gortash. Despite appeals from dedicated fans, Larian has confirmed that the patch will not enable players to pursue a romantic relationship with Gortash. Fans of Gortash may be disappointed by this news, especially as there were hints suggesting a past relationship between Gortash and The Dark Urge, also known as Durge.
Despite the familiarity between the characters, players will not have the chance to rekindle this relationship in the upcoming patch. The closest interaction players will have with Gortash in the next patch is agreeing to work with him, which leads to skipping his boss fight. However, this alliance is short-lived as Gortash is killed by the Netherbrain shortly after attempting to dominate it. While this may be disappointing for Gortash fans, the next patch will still provide new opportunities for evil players, even if they have to find another partner in crime.
In addition to the new evil endings, the patch will also introduce mod support. As the release of the next patch for Baldur’s Gate 3 approaches, players can expect additional features and updates beyond the confirmed ones.
