Baldur’s Gate 3 Wins BAFTA Award for Best Video Game

Baldur’s Gate 3 has achieved success at the BAFTAs, winning the award for Best Game, as well as the Player’s Choice and Music awards. The game managed to beat out strong competition, including Alan Wake 2, Tears of the Kingdom, and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.

Having already received numerous awards at other ceremonies in recent months, developer Larian Studios was expected to perform well at the BAFTAs, and Baldur’s Gate 3 certainly delivered, claiming the grand prize for Best Game. In addition to Baldur’s Gate 3’s triumph, other notable titles from 2023 also received recognition.

Alan Wake 2 won the BAFTAs for Artistic Achievement and Audio Achievement, while indie title Viewfinder was honored with the awards for British Game and New Intellectual Property. Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Hi-Fi Rush, Dave the Diver, Cyberpunk 2077, Tears of the Kingdom, and Tchia each received awards in their respective categories.

Notably, Nadji Jeter was honored with the BAFTA for best Performer In A Leading Role for his work as Miles Morales in Spider-Man 2. The full list of winners and nominees can be found on the BAFTAs official website.
