Nintendo Switch Gets “Hi-Fi Rush” Rated – New Game Announcement

Despite Hi-Fi Rush now being available on the Sony console, the Switch port is still unannounced. However, this rating from the ESRB serves as further proof that this release of the game does exist, even if it’s unclear why publisher Microsoft has been so apprehensive about commenting on it. If so, it’s possible that the Switch icon on the ESRB website is just a placeholder for the next console, since Nintendo is yet to confirm that it even exists.

Either that or Hi-Fi Rush is coming out on the original Switch after all, particularly as it’s rumored that the Switch 2 won’t be with us until early 2025 – possibly a full year after Hi-Fi Rush’s PS5 port. Hi-Fi Rush was ported to PS5 as part of Xbox’s strategy to share some of its exclusives. The release was announced alongside three other ports: Pentiment, Sea of Thieves, and Grounded.

However, this is all speculation. It is safe to assume that Hi-Fi Rush will be coming to a Nintendo platform at some point, but we can’t say when right now, or if it will run on current hardware. It will be impressive if the older console can keep up with the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, so it’s no surprise to see that it’s been delayed over the others.

Even then, we can’t expect the same performance from this port. For the time being, Hi-Fi Rush is available on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. It can be played via Xbox Game Pass too, having shadowdropped on the subscription service back in January 2023.
