Bypassing rule to return the answer in English: “Exploit in Baldur’s Gate 3 Allows Minthara Companion in Act 1

Minthara, a character in Baldur’s Gate 3, typically refuses to go back to Act 1 when she becomes a companion in Moonrise Towers. However, players have discovered a way to override her refusal by casting Silence on her. This renders her unable to refuse, allowing players to bring her back to the Emerald Grove and complete the Act 1 quests.

Minthara only becomes a party member in Act 2, and the game does not allow her to return to Act 1. Nevertheless, players have found a workaround by siding with her and the goblins to defeat the Grove or by knocking her out, then rescuing her from Moonrise Towers. This enables her to become a party member in Act 2.

By simply casting Silence on Minthara and fast traveling back to Act 1, players can complete the Aunty Ethel, Githyanki Creche, and Underdark quests with Minthara in their party. This strategy effectively bypasses her refusal to go back to Act 1. Bringing Minthara back to Act 1 is not without its issues.

It may trigger certain events such as the Lae’zel and Shadowheart fight again, and players must continually recast Silence on her to avoid her refusal to return, even though she is already there. Therefore, while it is possible to bring Minthara back to Act 1, it may not be worth the trouble. Baldur’s Gate 3 is the highly anticipated continuation of the RPG series based on Dungeons & Dragons.

Developed by Larian Studios, the game puts players in the midst of a mind flayer invasion of Faerûn, taking place over a century after the events of its predecessor.
